Terms of sale

The short version: you are buying a personal licence to a digital tool, it arrives immediately, and because it arrives immediately you give up the usual fourteen-day cancellation right at the point of purchase.

The longer version follows. If anything here is unclear, ask before you buy rather than after.

1 · Who you are buying from

A sole trader is one person trading in their own name rather than through a company, so there is no company number. It also means there is no corporate shield: the person you are dealing with is personally accountable for the business, which is the whole idea.

2 · What you are buying

A licence to use a digital product: an interactive tool that runs in your browser, and in some cases an accompanying PDF workbook. You are not buying the underlying software, and nothing here transfers ownership of it.

Free previews are published for most products so you can see the shape of a tool before paying. Use them.

3 · Price and tax

Prices are shown in pounds sterling on the page you buy from and are the full amount you pay. This business is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added and none can be reclaimed. Where a tax applies in your own country, it is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay.

Prices change from time to time. The price you pay is the one displayed at checkout, and a later change does not entitle either of us to a refund or a top-up.

4 · Payment and delivery

Payment is taken by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and are never seen or stored by this business.

Delivery is immediate and automatic. On payment you receive an email containing a key, or an access code, which opens the product. If it has not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then email the address above and it will be reissued.

Products are hosted online. You need a working browser and an internet connection to use them. PDF workbooks, where included, can be downloaded and kept.

5 · Your cancellation rights

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, a consumer buying digital content online normally has fourteen days to cancel.

That right does not survive immediate delivery. By completing a purchase you are asking for the product to be supplied straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once access has been granted. This is standard for digital goods and is the reason free previews exist.

If you buy and have not yet used the key or code, say so and it will be cancelled and refunded in full.

6 · Refunds

Once a product has been unlocked it generally cannot be refunded, for the obvious reason that it cannot be given back.

That is not an absolute. A refund will be given without argument where:

Nothing here affects your statutory rights. If a digital product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies regardless of what this page says.

Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within five working days.

7 · How the licence works

A standard purchase is a licence for one person. You may use it on your own devices, print your own work from it, and use it in your own job.

You may not share, resell, publish or redistribute a key, an access code, or the product itself; use one licence to give a team access; or copy the material into your own training or commercial products.

Keys are issued per purchase and can be withdrawn if they are shared publicly. If you need access for more than one person, that is a team licence — see For teams, which is cheaper per head than buying several copies anyway.

8 · Availability

Products are hosted on third-party infrastructure and are intended to stay available, but no uptime is guaranteed. Where a product is retired, existing purchasers will be given reasonable notice and the means to keep their work.

Content is improved over time. Updates to a product you have bought are included at no extra cost.

9 · What these tools are, and are not

They are structured aids to your own thinking. They are not legal, financial, medical, employment or regulatory advice, and using one does not create a professional relationship between us.

Where a situation involves a person's employment, health, safety or legal position, the tools say so and tell you to involve the people whose job that is. Please do.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10 · Complaints and law

Complaints go to the address above and are answered by the person who runs the business, usually within two working days.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
